Churchill Bar

Adorning historical photos of the Club, the Churchill Bar is the Club's hotspot for pre and post round food and drink in a relaxed old sports bar atmosphere. Socialise with other Members and enjoy pub favourites.

Halfway House

Located just off the 9th green, the Halfway House is our casual spot for those seeking a pick me up mid-round. Order from the 9th tee, sit and eat or grab to-go while stocking up on refreshments to finish the back nine.

Membership at MOC

Golf is the heartbeat of our Membership, with Resident Full or Non-Resident Memberships gaining unlimited access to our golf course. Resident Social Members are allowed limited access to the course as well.

I have been playing Mid Ocean for close to forty years. Each time I play, I consider it a treat. With the wind direction and velocity changing almost daily and the change of seasons bringing varying temperatures, the course provides a different test with each round.

While the course continues to require a myriad of shot-making skills, it also provides stunning vistas and views. Standing on the first green and gazing out to the Atlantic blue, it is hard not to be in awe of the beauty and realize how lucky I am to play Mid Ocean.

The simple answer to why my husband and I joined Mid Ocean is that it is simply the best course on the island and one of the best in the world. The course is magnificent, with each hole being very different in its own right, with varying degrees of difficulty coupled with spectacular views. I defy anyone to stand on the first tee, look at the wide expanse of ocean and not feel blessed.

The 19th hole is always important, and there's no better place to enjoy a cold glass after a round of golf, reminisce, and watch the world go by, than at the Beach Club. If you're lucky, you may even spot some whales!

I became a golf member to be able to join and play with the large and established MOC Ladies Group. I have not been disappointed. We play every Tuesday in organized (and sometimes fun) formats, and I have made many new friends. One of my favourites is our Christmas Tournament, where we dress up, buy mulligans and can even pay the Pro to hit our drives over the treacherous #9 water hole. All to raise funds for charity. There are, of course, very important and serious tournaments for those competitive types, which we all try to support. Besides the golf rounds, the Ladies Group also organizes monthly group lessons, which is wonderful.
